Small code. Useful connections.

Cloudflare Workers & Routing

Old campaign links should still reach the right offer. A domain can serve pages from more than one platform. A small tool should not need a whole server. I build the routing and serverless code that makes those pieces work together.

Work behind the offer

Keep the old links. Use the new site.

I used a Cloudflare Worker to keep older campaign links working after a website move. Visitors could continue using the published links rather than having to find the replacement pages themselves.

I mapped the existing URLs, implemented the routing and checked the published destinations. The work covered a specific set of links, not a full website rebuild.

Choose the right layer

Not every routing problem needs a Worker

Redirect when the address should change

Send a visitor to the replacement URL when that is the intended destination. A native redirect rule may be enough; custom code should earn its place.

Proxy when the branded URL should stay

Fetch selected content from another platform at your domain. Check forms, cookies, query strings, asset URLs and metadata rather than assuming a successful page response proves the whole journey.

Build a small endpoint when logic is needed

Use a Worker for a bounded API, webhook or utility. Define inputs, access controls, failure behavior and usage limits before implementation.

Inspect before changing DNS or caching

Trace the request through the domain, Cloudflare rules, Worker and origin. Preserve unrelated pages, email records and dynamic responses rather than making a broad change to solve one failing path.

A controlled release

Map, test, deploy, hand over

First, agree which URLs or requests should change and which must stay untouched. I check the current configuration and choose the smallest suitable rule or code change, with a rollback path before release.

Verification covers the expected destination and representative negative cases: unknown paths, slash variants, query strings and failures. Where forms or account access are involved, their end-to-end tests need to be part of the agreed scope, not inferred from an HTTP 200.

You receive the code or configuration, route map where relevant, test results and deployment and rollback notes. Hosting ownership, permissions and any service costs are identified before launch.

A useful starting point

One route, one tool, or one broken behavior

Bring a concrete example even if you do not know where it fails. This is bounded development and troubleshooting, not a full-site migration, security incident service or round-the-clock operations contract. Existing Workers can be inspected before deciding whether to repair or replace them.
